At Heathrow Airport there are four main types of car parks – Long Stay, Business Parking, Short Stay and Heathrow Valet Parking, all with different charges attached to them. Long Stay is suitable for the majority of travellers and can be paid for per full day parked. If you are wanted to leave you car between one and four days inclusive, the total cost to you will be £16.30 per day, and if you wish to leave your car there for 5 days or over the cost will be £15.70 per day. Over 24 hours this works out to under 70p an hour – much better than most shopping centres!
Business Parking is located close to transfers to allow for fast and frequent transfers to aid busy people on business get to their destination faster. Business Parking costs approximately £23 per day for a stay of one to 13 days. To stay for between 14 and 28 days, there is a flat rate of £320 – this works out very cheap if you are staying for a long period of time. Short Stay car parking is intended for people simply waiting for relatives or sorting out travel arrangements at the airport. Up to 30 minutes costs £2.50, so you can already see that this is not somewhere where you want to leave your car for a large amount of time; the cost for every 24 hours stay is £47. Finally Valet Parking is for those people who demand the finer things in life; someone to park the car up for you and help you to the airport with your luggage.
