When I looked at the calendar this morning, I realized that the end of this semester for university is right around the corner. Even though this will just be my second completed semester at university, I am looking forward to a break after my first year of handling the amount of work that is required to do well in university. Because it is difficult to find short term housing during the summer, I will be spending mine with my parents back at home.

Even though you may think that living with your parents again after having so much freedom sounds terrible, it’s not bad at all when you know it’s only temporary. I may have given you the idea that my university semester is completely over, but as you may have guessed, I do have all of my final examinations to take. While I have plenty of friends who are absolutely dreading their final examinations, I have stayed on top of my studies this semester, so I am actually really confident about how I am going to do. Since I am so confident, I have already set up a summer reward for myself to celebrate my success this semester. Once I move back home to London, I am taking an old friend with me and we are picking up a Heathrow Airport car hire I reserved. The reason we are getting a Heathrow Airport car hire is so we can enjoy taking a road trip for a full week. Since the two of us have both been working hard at university, I can’t think of a better way to celebrate starting the summer than to enjoy the freedom of being on the road for a full week.
